ZAC Efron has been having a splendid time riding the waves in Hawaii!
“I’ve never had a better day surfing,” Efron told E! News at the Maui Film Festival Thursday night.
“If you’re going to go, you need to go here. The conditions are unbelievable. In California, the waves kind of toss you around. There always seems to be an offshore breeze.
“Here in Maui, I was out there and the water was so glassy and clear. It was like a bathtub. The waves just stay wide open for long rides in.”
Recent reports claimed Efron is jealous of Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
The High School Musical star was furious that the hunky British actor was the center of attention at the recent MTV Movie Awards.
“Zac couldn’t believe the amount of attention Robert got at the MTV Movie Awards,” a source told the PopEater website.
“It was only yesterday that Zac was Hollywood’s golden boy, enjoying making young girls scream. That didn’t happen this year. All the girls wanted Robert and barely even noticed Zac.
“What makes matters worse is that Zac just doesn’t understand Robert’s appeal. He is everything Zac isn’t. Robert looks like a homeless person. And don’t get Zac started on Robert’s messy hair.
“Zac is defiantly on Team Taylor Lautner. At least he uses moisturizer.”

Zac Efron kept the fun Maui Film Festival times going on Friday night when he joined Justin Chambers and director Andrew Goodman at the premiere of The Happiest Man Alive. It was the latest appearance at the cinema event for Zac, who was honored with their Shining Star Award earlier last week. Zac’s trip to Hawaii was notable for his accepting the honor, but it also afforded him a chance to show off his hot shirtless bod during an afternoon on the beach with his brother. Zac was back to baring his six pack on Saturday when he stripped down to his yellow board shorts and animatedly chatted on his phone outside a cabana.

The ‘High School Musical’ actor is amazed at how easy the conditions were for riding the waves compared with at the beach by his home in California.
He said: “I’ve never had a better day surfing. If you’re going to go, you need to go here. The conditions are unbelievable. In California, the waves kind of toss you around. There always seems to be an offshore breeze.
“Here in Maui, I was out there and the water was so glassy and clear. It was like a bathtub. The waves just stay wide open for long rides in.”
The 22-year-old star also admitted he has no plans for his future career as he prefers to just go with the flow.
He added to E! Online: “In my career, I’ve never been the man with the plan. I’ve never been one to say, I want to be here in 10 years. People always ask, ‘Where do you want to be in 10 years? What do you see in the future?’ I don’t know. I always like to throw caution to the wind and follow my heart.”

Speaking to Access Hollywood, the Hannah Montana star – currently dating Liam Hemsworth – discussed the differences between men and women in the music industry, and how there are double standards when it comes to dressing provocatively.
She mentioned that while people think the singer is trying to sell sex, the main reason she went to see High School Musical is because Efron is “hot” and she is “obsessed” with him.
“He’s just not in a leotard with his legs out. He has his shirt off. So what’s the difference? It just isn’t as obvious when guys do it,” she added.
Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were among the stars caught on the Kiss Cam at last night’s MTV Movie Awards.
The camera landed on the High School Musical co-stars after The A-Team’s Bradley Cooper and Jessica Biel took to the stage to present the trophy for ‘Best Kiss’.
Biel had told the audience not to get “excited” because she and Cooper would not be making out, saying that instead the people in the arena would be kissing.
After Hudgens gave Efron a quick kiss, the camera landed on other couples including Get Him To The Greek castmates Jonah Hill and Russell Brand, who also shared an embrace, and snowboarder Shaun White and his date, while Jersey Shore star The Situation pretended to chase Clark Duke out of the ceremony after the latter kissed his date.
The ‘Best Kiss’ gong went to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The duo previously declined to kiss when they won the prize last year, but this time they treated viewers to a re-enactment of their winning moment.
“I guess we’re supposed to kiss each other, but to be perfectly honest with you, it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing,” said Stewart. “We don’t want to let you guys down. We’ll give it a shot but…”
The pair then pretended to fumble with the kiss before Pattinson grabbed Stewart for an embrace.
Could Zac Efron be jealous of Robert Pattinson? Both of them have a huge female following of adoring fans, and are dating some of the prettiest women in Hollywood at the current moment. The two of them are considered to be some of the “Prettiest Men” as well. They both entered the eye of the public after they starred in movies that were huge hits with the teenage population. But that doesn’t mean that they have to get along that well, or even like each other for that matter.
Efron was reportedly not to pleased when he arrived at the MTV Movie Awards to find out that many teenage girls had moved on from him, and instead were finding for attention from Robert Pattinson. Zac has described Pattinson as “grungy” when alone, according to recent reports. Apparently, Efron is a little bit jealous of the attention that Pattinson has received in recent months and has spoken out about it.
A year ago it was Efron who commanded the attention that Robert does now, but it appears that his time in the limelight as a teen idol is no more. The crowd has moved on and are now demanding attention from Twilight star Robert Pattinson, who is reportedly dating Kristen Stewart, even though the two of them have not admitted to being together in a public manner. They have, however, joked about being together in recent weeks.

Kristen Bell, Diddy and Zac Efron talk about Aziz Ansari’s early years, saving lives by dressing himself like a pumpkin on Halloween, getting stuck under his family’s television set for six years, and other types of personal tragedies. Luckily, Ansari was able to recover (possibly after years of intensive therapy) and will be hosting the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6.
MTV Movie Awards presenters include Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Paul Rudd, Bradley Cooper, Vanessa Hudgens, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, and Anna Kendrick.
Performers at the ceremony include Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, and Snoop Dogg. Sandra Bullock will receive the MTV Generation Award.

The star who became famous as Troy in High School Musical, will be honoured at the Maui Film Festival where he will receive the Shining Star Award.
GossipCop reports the festival’s director, Barry Rivers calling Zac an “exemplary shining star.”
With the festival being held in Hawaii, Zac’s girlfriend and fellow movie star, Vanessa Hudgens better start packing her summer wardrobe.
We all know Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have been together for awhile. Now there are new reports regarding the status of the couple.
Earlier, news websites published articles saying that the couple have started “trial runs” for marriage. They are rumored to have already been living together.
The “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens was looking to rent a place in Malibu. She found an apartment there and it was said that Zac liked the hanging out in her place then after a few days, he was already carrying luggages into apartment.
Vanessa Hudgens recently said that her new apartment is too big for her and it would be nice to have someone for a few days. She says that she spends most of her day alone in her room in the apartment.

At the L.A. premiere of the upcoming movie entitled “Get Him To The Greek” starring Jonah Hill and Russel Brand, both Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were seen arriving at the event. Russel Brand showed up wearing a white 1970’s styled suit that really showed off his flashy side.
Brand, who is currently engaged to singer Katy Perry, chose to go a little bit over the top with his recent wardrobe. However, other guests who arrived at the event were wearing much more normal styles.
Brand, along with the long, flowing silver dress with a high slit that his fiance was wearing, certainly stole the show on the red carpet of the premiere. While Brand and Perry may have been the wildest on the carpet, Efron and Hudgens came sporting a much more familiar, casual look.

Zac Efron was back on a boat and showing off his sailing skills on Friday while finishing up work on Charlie St. Cloud in Vancouver. He wrapped up filming by Saturday, when he and costar Amanda Crew were spotted leaving Canada and heading back to LA.
